Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute organizes a scientific visit to the East Al-Diwaniyah Power Station.

The Division of Mechanical Technologies at Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute organized a scientific visit for first-year students in the Welding Branch to the East Al-Diwaniyah Diesel Power Station. Accompanying the students were Dr. Areej Ghazi, Head of the Division, Assistant Lecturer Ahmad Hassan Ba’yawi, and Engineer Ahmad Fakhri.

The purpose of this visit was to enhance the students’ practical knowledge and link theoretical concepts with field applications in the areas of welding and mechanical technologies used in power generation stations. During the visit, the students were introduced to the station’s operational mechanisms and the role of welding operations in the maintenance and repair of equipment, as well as the safety procedures implemented in the workplace.

The students expressed their great benefit from this experience, which provided them with a deeper understanding of the technical challenges in the energy sector. Meanwhile, the technical supervisors at the station provided detailed explanations about the significance of welding operations in enhancing the efficiency and safety of mechanical equipment.

This visit is part of the division’s plan to strengthen applied education and prepare students for the requirements of the job market by providing them with opportunities to interact with real work environments and gain direct practical experience.
