Al-Diwaniyah Explosives Disposal Department visits Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute.

A delegation from Al-Diwaniyah Explosives Disposal Department visited the Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute, where they were welcomed by the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Hussein Mohammed.

As part of the visit, Lieutenant Muhannad Jiyad Kadhim from the Diwaniyah Explosives Department delivered an awareness lecture to the institute’s students. The session focused on how to safely handle explosives and war remnants, aiming to raise awareness about the types of explosives, detection methods, and their chemical composition—an essential factor in identifying such materials.

The lecture also addressed the serious risks associated with explosives and war remnants, particularly their impact on the residents of Al-Diwaniyah Province. Students were educated on the appropriate steps to take upon encountering any suspicious objects or remnants, with an emphasis on personal safety and community responsibility.
