In alignment with the directives of the President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, regarding the launch of a tree-planting campaign and the enhancement of green spaces across the university’s colleges and institutes, the College of Polytechnic – Al-Qadisiyah initiated a tree-planting campaign within its campus.
The campaign was conducted under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahieh, with the participation of the Assistant Deans, department heads, and a number of faculty members and staff. It involved planting a variety of fruit-bearing and ornamental trees with the aim of improving the campus’s natural landscape and providing a healthy and sustainable environment for students as well as academic and administrative staff.
The Dean emphasized that this initiative responds to the university’s directives to promote sustainable development and environmental preservation. He commended the efforts of all participants in ensuring the campaign’s success and highlighted that such activities help instill a culture of environmental care and appreciation for greenery among everyone.
The college also stressed the importance of continuing similar environmental initiatives, noting that they are part of long-term plans to expand green spaces within the campus and raise environmental awareness among students.
At the conclusion of the campaign, the Dean expressed his gratitude to all participants and collaborators, encouraging the continuation of similar environmental projects that contribute to improving the university environment and serving the community.
