Under the patronage of Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahieh, Dean of the College of Polytechnic – Al-Qadisiyah, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, in cooperation with the academic departments, organized a cultural festival to commemorate the birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her), under the slogan “Al-Zahra: Our Role Model.”
The festival was attended by Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahieh, Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Hussein Muhammad, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with department heads, faculty members, and a large number of students.
The festival program featured a variety of religious and cultural segments, beginning with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by poetry and chants performed by students celebrating the esteemed status and humanitarian and social role of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (PBUH). The program also included awareness sessions presented by female staff members, highlighting significant moments from her blessed life and her exemplary biography.
At the conclusion of the festival, certificates of appreciation and awards were distributed to participants and contributors who helped ensure the success of the event, creating an atmosphere of engagement and pride in this important religious occasion.
This festival is part of the Women’s Affairs Unit activities, aiming to promote religious and ethical values, instill virtuous role models in students, and contribute to building a conscious and holistic university environment.
