Through the dedicated efforts and close follow-up of the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiyya, the Engineering Laboratory at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College – University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University has successfully renewed its accreditation certificate No. TL 263 from the Iraqi Accreditation System (IQAS). This was achieved after qualifying the laboratory according to the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
The accreditation granted to the laboratory covers two main areas:
- Testing of construction materials
- Testing of metallic materials
This achievement reflects the continuous efforts of the college to develop its laboratory infrastructure and enhance its scientific and engineering capabilities, thereby improving the quality of services provided and raising the reliability of laboratory tests.
On this occasion, the Dean, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiyya, commended the efforts of the laboratory staff, emphasizing that this accreditation represents a significant achievement that strengthens the college’s position among accredited institutions and supports its plans to enhance quality and provide accurate and reliable testing services in accordance with international standards.
