Assistant Lecturer Sara Basim Abdul Taher, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, participated in a workshop organized by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University entitled “Sustainable Development: A Future Vision within Global Rankings.” The workshop was held under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and supervised by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai.
The workshop addressed the concept of sustainable development and its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, as well as mechanisms for transforming university activities into measurable indicators that contribute to supporting global rankings and enhancing the University’s academic reputation.
The workshop emphasized the importance of strategic planning, building partnerships with civil society institutions and the private sector, and the role of technology and technology incubators in supporting innovative projects and achieving sustainable impact.
This participation comes within the orientation of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College to promote a culture of sustainable development and to actively contribute to achieving the University’s goals and strategic plans.
