The event is held under the patronage of the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahya, and the supervision of the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Manager, Assistant Lecturer Hassan Hadi Al-Taie. On the third day, the college’s technology incubator continues the entrepreneurial week activities in collaboration with the Department of Health Management Technologies, as part of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research across Iraqi universities.
The “Innovating Sustainable Solutions” competition for students took place in the green gardens of the college, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahya, faculty members, and college staff. The competition aimed to promote a culture of innovation in sustainable solutions that can be utilized in both public and private institutions, as well as in the labor market. It also sought to enhance students’ skills necessary for innovative problem-solving with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The competition was organized and prepared for students by the Head of the Department of Health Management Technologies, Lecturer Nada Ahmed, Professor Dr. Muamil Hussein, Associate Professor Dr. Khairiya Abdel Fadl, and Technology Incubator Manager, Assistant Lecturer Hassan Hadi Al-Taie.
The continuation of these activities and events reflects the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s commitment, represented by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, to support entrepreneurial trends, open new horizons for students to contribute to economic development, and align with the needs of the labor market and the innovation sector, thereby enhancing the role of technical colleges in serving the community.
