Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah hosted the first workshop organized by the Nipur Volunteer Team, under the management and supervision of the Nursing Syndicate / Diwaniyah Branch, sponsored by Mr. Mohsen Al-Khalifawi, and in collaboration with the college. The event was attended by Dr. Zaki Mohamed Abbas Bahya, the Dean of the College, Mr. Hashem Al-Saidi, the Chairman of the Scientific Committee in the Syndicate, along with several faculty members.

At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the College welcomed the attendees and organizers, commending their efforts in organizing such initiatives that contribute to raising health awareness within the educational institution. He reaffirmed the college’s support for all activities that serve students and the community.

The workshop, titled “The Role of the University Nurse,” was presented by University Nurse Zaid Al-Miyali, under the supervision of Mr. Ali Al-Sajjad Hussein Fadhil. The workshop focused on defining the role of the university nurse and its importance within educational institutions. It also addressed the tasks and responsibilities of the university nurse in providing primary healthcare, health education, and handling emergencies on campus.

The workshop highlighted the importance of developing professional skills, adhering to ethical standards, and fostering cooperation between health and administrative staff to create a safe and healthy university environment for students and faculty.

The event witnessed notable attendance and interaction from the participants, who praised the significance of such initiatives in supporting health work within educational institutions. They emphasized the need for the continuation of these activities to raise health awareness and promote volunteerism and community service.
