The Media and Government Communication Division at Al-Politeknik College – Al-Qadisiyah participated in the course entitled “Modern University Media Industry,” organized by the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. The division was represented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Thabet Faisal, Head of the Division, and Engineer Haider Aziz Ubaid.

The course was held in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi; his Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai; and the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, Ms. Nihal Kazem Al-Rubaie, in addition to the heads and staff of media divisions across the university’s formations.

The course aimed to develop the university’s media system and build a unified institutional identity. It included both theoretical and practical components covering the following topics:

  1. The university’s visual identity: the importance of unifying colors, fonts, and logos to ensure consistency in the institutional image.
  2. University media discourse: distinguishing between the language of administrative correspondence and media publication language, and adapting messages according to target audiences (students, faculty members, and local and international entities).
  3. Media content management: mechanisms for selecting high-quality news, refining it, and publishing it on official websites and social media platforms to enhance digital presence.
  4. Practical application: workshops on transforming theoretical concepts into practical practices in preparing posts, reports, and media videos.

The course lectures were delivered by Dr. Murtadha Abdul Jawad Al-Khuzaie, who emphasized that the quality of visual identity and media discourse directly contributes to strengthening the university’s image locally and internationally, and that professional university media begins with internal organization and clarity of message.
