The Department of Business Administration Technologies at Al-Politeknik College – Al-Qadisiyah, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Future Skills: Professional Management and Technology for the Labor Market.” The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Jaafar Kadhim, Head of the Department; Lecturer Ahmed Ghaffar Hussein, Department Rapporteur; as well as a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the department.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Amouda Obeid Hussein, Assistant Lecturer Sarah Alawi Abu Suda, and Assistant Lecturer Ghufran Shallal Mohammed.
The seminar addressed the most prominent skills required in the current and future labor market, foremost among them innovative problem-solving ability, efficient time management, and effective communication skills, in addition to negotiation and persuasion skills.
The speakers emphasized that the future labor market does not recognize stagnation; rather, it is based on flexibility, continuous learning, and the ongoing development of professional competencies to keep pace with rapid changes in the business environment. They stressed the importance of equipping students with specialized skills that enhance their prospects for professional success.
