The Department of Accounting Technologies at the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Digital Transformation in Accounting: Challenges and Opportunities,” with the participation of a number of staff members.
The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Nazim Khasran Hassouni and Assistant Lecturer Bushra Kadhim. It addressed the concept of digital transformation in accounting and its significance, the modern technologies influencing accounting practices, as well as the challenges facing the implementation of digital systems and the future opportunities they provide for the development of the profession.
The seminar included a discussion of the requirements for success in a digital work environment and the necessity of developing accountants’ skills to keep pace with technological advancements, while emphasizing the importance of protecting financial data and strengthening the legal aspects associated with digital transformation.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the floor was opened for dialogue and interventions, with emphasis placed on the importance of continuing to hold such scientific events, which contribute to advancing academic and professional standards.
