Dr. Asaad Thamer Makbas, a lecturer in the Department of Nursing Technologies at Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, participated in a workshop held in Erbil titled “Establishing Sectoral Councils for Green and Digital Economy.” He represented the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Al-Diwaniyah Governorate.
The workshop aimed to discuss the operational mechanisms of sectoral councils and their role in promoting the transition towards a green economy and digital economy, as well as encouraging cooperation between government institutions, the private sector, and universities. This collaboration aligns with the requirements for sustainable development and digital transformation.
Dr. Asaad Thamer Makbas is also a member of the Sectoral Council for Green and Digital Economy in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He contributes to the formulation of sectoral policies and supports initiatives that enhance economic and knowledge-based development at the governorate level.
This participation highlights the active role of Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah in representing the Ministry of Higher Education and contributing to national efforts towards a sustainable economy based on knowledge and modern technologies.
