Within the framework of the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace – Protection Pillar (Paragraph Two), the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Polytechnic – Al-Qadisiyah, in cooperation with the Department of Health Administration Technologies, held a scientific workshop entitled: (The Culture of Justice and Human Rights in Promoting Community Peace).

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahlam Marza, Assistant Lecturer Wijdan Jabs, and Assistant Lecturer Haider Salem. They addressed several themes focusing on the importance of consolidating the concepts of justice and human rights in building a peaceful and stable society.

The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of justice and human rights in building a peaceful and stable society. It began with an introduction to the concept of justice and its various dimensions, whether judicial, social, or economic, emphasizing its role in achieving equality among all members of society.

The workshop also addressed fundamental human rights, such as the right to life, liberty, education, and health, and explained the mechanisms for their protection and promotion through national and international legislation and laws, stressing that respect for human rights contributes to strengthening trust among members of society and reducing disputes and conflicts.

The themes of the workshop focused on the close relationship between the culture of justice and human rights and the promotion of community peace, clarifying that spreading awareness of rights and duties creates an environment based on mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. It also highlighted the role of educational and media institutions, as well as civil society organizations, in consolidating this culture.

At the conclusion of the workshop, it was emphasized that building a stable and secure society requires concerted efforts and the promotion of the values of justice, equality, and respect for human rights as a solid foundation for community life.
