Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College organized a vigil of mourning for the soul of the martyr, Mr. Ali Khamenei, and in solidarity with the Iranian people. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, the assistant deans, heads of departments, and a number of staff members, as an expression of sympathy and human compassion in these painful circumstances.

The vigil included the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in mercy for his soul, recalling his positions and what he offered throughout his life, while praying to Almighty God to envelop him in His vast mercy and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.

On this sorrowful occasion, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiya, delivered a speech expressing his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy. He recalled the life of Mr. Ali Khamenei and praised his positions and what was known of his influential presence and notable contributions, affirming that his memory will remain present in the hearts of those who admired him. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the values of human solidarity and cooperation among peoples, noting that such vigils reflect the depth of fraternal and humanitarian ties and embody a shared spirit of responsibility in facing challenges.

One of the college’s graduates also delivered a speech in which she recalled the virtues of Mr. Khamenei and his life journey, praising his positions and the presence and influence he was known to have within his surroundings, and expressing deep sorrow for his loss.

The vigil concluded with prayers that security and peace prevail throughout the region and that God protect all peoples from harm.
