Under the patronage of the Dean of the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, Prof. Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahieh, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Techniques carried out a field visit to the Al-Noor Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired to review the health and service conditions provided to individuals with visual disabilities.

The visit included the participation of a group of department students and was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Farah Kamil Abdul-Muslim, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Techniques; Assistant Professor Dr. Hameeda Sahib Hassan; Assistant Lecturer Ahood Ali Mohammed; and Ms. Firdous Hussein.

The delegation was received by Ms. Alya Abdul Ali Shaker, Director of the Institute, who welcomed this generous initiative and praised the efforts made to support this important segment of society and strengthen humanitarian communication with them.

During the visit, a number of activities were presented by the institute’s students to welcome the teaching staff and students of the college, in an atmosphere characterized by warmth, interaction, and positive engagement.

At the conclusion of the visit, the institute’s director expressed her deep appreciation for this initiative, noting the positive impact it had and the joy and hope it brought to the children. In turn, the college staff wished the institute continued success in fulfilling its noble humanitarian mission.
