The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Diwaniyah Polytechnic College, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Insurance Department, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Soft Skills and Their Role in Enhancing Women’s Professional Efficiency.” The workshop was held within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security, specifically under the Prevention Pillar – Paragraph Two.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Yass Khudair, the department rapporteur, along with Assistant Lecturer Zaid Kadhim and Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Saad, and was attended by a number of staff members and students.
The workshop addressed several important themes focusing on the concept of soft skills and their significance in developing women’s professional performance, as well as their role in strengthening self-confidence and building leadership personality within the work environment.
It also highlighted the development of effective communication skills and teamwork, in addition to the ability to solve problems and make decisions, which contribute to improving professional performance and achieving success in the workplace.
Furthermore, the workshop discussed the importance of time management and prioritization in order to achieve balance between work requirements and personal life, as well as enhancing positive thinking skills and the ability to adapt to work pressures and professional changes.
At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of these skills in empowering women and enhancing their opportunities for success and advancement in the labor market, thereby supporting their active role across various professional fields.
