The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussaini Shrine – Department of Religious Affairs / Intellectual and Cultural Activities in Al-Diwaniyah, organized an intellectual seminar titled: “The Demolished Al-Baqi’.. An Indelible Memory.” The seminar was presented by the preacher, Al-Alawiya Mrs. Maryam Shubbar, in the presence of several staff members and students.

The seminar addressed the issue of the demolition of the graves of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Al-Baqi’, highlighting the deep historical wound this event represents in the collective memory of Muslims. It emphasized the importance of preserving religious and historical heritage and commemorating the injustice faced by these sanctities, asserting that this memory remains alive in the conscience and cannot be forgotten or erased over time.

Furthermore, the seminar focused on the importance of modesty and religious commitment in a woman’s life as two fundamental pillars in building a conscious female personality. It highlighted their role in promoting Islamic ethics and values and their positive impact on society.

The seminar witnessed significant interaction from the female students, with open discussions and questions regarding the importance of safeguarding religious and historical heritage, and how women can serve as models in upholding Islamic values and ethics.

The seminar concluded by stressing the importance of cooperation between universities and religious and cultural institutions in spreading awareness and enlightened thought, contributing to the development of a conscious and educated generation capable of preserving the religious and cultural identity of society.

The event ended with an emphasis on utilizing such seminars to enhance religious and historical awareness among students and encouraging them to transmit this knowledge and these values to their surrounding community.
