As part of its training plans aimed at linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Forensic Evidence Techniques Department at Al-Qadisiyah Technical College organized field applications for second-year students. The session was supervised by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Naji Taher, in cooperation with the Forensic Evidence Investigation Department at the Diwaniyah Police Directorate.

The applications included a field simulation of an armed robbery crime scene involving a vehicle. This simulation was executed by a specialized team from the Forensic Evidence Directorate, led by forensic expert Colonel Majeed, with the participation of several specialists.

The activity covered the essential steps for handling a crime scene, including site securing mechanisms, evidence collection, fingerprint lifting, and the documentation of physical traces. Furthermore, a detailed explanation was provided regarding the procedures followed in evidence analysis and the preparation of forensic reports.

These applications aim to enhance students’ practical skills, develop their abilities to handle field cases, and enable them to understand the professional procedures followed in criminal investigations. This contributes to supporting the department’s outcomes and increasing students’ readiness for the labor market.

The department expressed its gratitude to the Diwaniyah Police Directorate for its fruitful cooperation, emphasizing the continuation of such activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and refining their field expertise in the area of forensic science
