The Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Techniques at the Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, an affiliate of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), organized a scientific field visit to Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital for first-year students.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of:
- Dr. Marwa Ali Oudah
- Asst. Lect. Mukhalad Mohammed Kadhim
- Asst. Lect. Bushra Hassan Fleih
- Ms. Kawthar Mohammed Shaker
Objectives and Key Activities
The primary goal of the visit was to enhance the students’ practical skills and provide them with firsthand insight into patient rehabilitation protocols at one of Iraq’s leading medical institutions.
During the tour, students were introduced to:
- Laboratory Equipment: Understanding the functions and operational procedures of advanced diagnostic tools.
- Patient Care Standards: Learning the best practices for clinical care and patient interaction.
- Rehabilitation Technology: Gaining hands-on experience with specialized rehabilitation devices, including observing their application on patients under professional supervision.
Bridging Theory and Practice
The hospital’s medical staff provided detailed explanations regarding the daily workflow and the integration of theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. This gave students a realistic understanding of the professional environment and the requirements of their future careers.
This initiative is part of the department’s strategic plan to bridge the gap between academic study and field-based experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for the demands of the healthcare sector.
