College Media Unit

Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), has completed its final preparations for the 1st International Scientific Conference. This was announced during a meeting chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiah.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fitlawi, Dean of the Rumaitha Technical Institute, and Professor Dr. Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini, Dean of the Engineering Technical College – Najaf, along with assistant deans and faculty members involved in the organizing committees.

Conference Overview

The conference is organized by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, represented by Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, the Engineering Technical College – Najaf, and the Rumaitha Technical Institute, in partnership with Erbil Polytechnic University.

Scheduled for April 2026, the event will be held under the slogan:

“Technical Education: Our Path to Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”

And titled:

“1st International Conference on Engineering-Science Nexus for Sustainable Development (ESNSD 2026)”

Final Preparations and Logistics

During the meeting, the committee reviewed all arrangements related to the scientific curriculum, including:

  • Session Schedules: Approval of the official timeline for research presentations.
  • Technical Procedures: Finalizing protocols for receiving researchers and international guests.
  • Infrastructure Readiness: Ensuring that conference halls, audiovisual aids, laboratories, and poster presentation areas are fully equipped.
  • Logistics & Media: Coordinating hospitality services for participants and finalizing the media coverage plan to ensure the conference’s scientific message reaches the global academic community.

Strategic Importance

The Dean, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiah, emphasized that this conference represents a significant scientific milestone. He stated that ATU aims to strengthen its research standing and expand horizons for scientific cooperation with local and international universities and institutions, further supporting the university’s commitment to sustainable development goals.
