Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahieh, the Dean of Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, visited the Al-Shamiya District Mayor’s Office. He was received by Dr. Hassan Abdul Hadi Aajil, the Mayor of the District.
This visit falls within the framework of efforts to prepare the plot of land allocated for the establishment of a Medical and Health Technical College in the district. The visit followed the initiation of backfilling and site leveling operations, as well as the execution of preliminary requirements for land rehabilitation. These measures pave the way for launching the project in the upcoming phase, contributing to the enhancement of health technical education in Iraq.
The Dean emphasized that this project is part of the university’s plan to expand medical and health specialties and meet labor market demands. He noted that the planned college will provide advanced educational programs to prepare qualified medical and health cadres that fulfill the requirements of the health sector.
On his part, the Mayor of Al-Shamiya district expressed his full support for this project. He confirmed the local government’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities for its success, given its importance in serving the people of the district and advancing the development process.
At the end of the visit, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation to the local government for their continuous cooperation and support of educational projects in the governorate.
