The Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiah, participated in the 9th session of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Board for the academic year 2025-2026. The meeting was held at the Technical Institute of Kufa, chaired by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kadhim Al-Zubaidi, and attended by all board members, alongside hosting several directors of relevant departments.

The session commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Assistant Professor Muin Al-Rubaie, followed by reciting Surah Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs.

The meeting reviewed the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research presented during the recent Opinion Committee meeting. These directives emphasized the importance of monitoring student attendance, compensating for unexpected suspension days, completing digital transformation requirements and electronic systems, and uploading faculty data and lectures to approved platforms.

The board also stressed adherence to the policy guide for using Artificial Intelligence tools in scientific research to ensure responsible usage, maintain academic integrity, and enhance research outputs. Additionally, they discussed finalizing procedures to establish an administrative unit for managing digital transformation systems across university divisions.

During the session, the University President highlighted the necessity of preparing all requirements for final examinations, monitoring construction and infrastructure rehabilitation projects, and supporting capacity-building programs for teaching and administrative staff. He also emphasized focusing on student affairs, promoting discipline on campus, and following up on audit reports and observations within the specified timelines.

The session concluded with discussions on several academic, administrative, and student-related files on the agenda, leading to necessary decisions and recommendations aimed at developing institutional performance and elevating technical education across the university and its formations
