Student Discipline Instructions

Article 1

The Student Shall Commit to the Following:

  • Complying with all laws, regulations, and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its institutions.
  • Respecting religious beliefs and national unity and avoiding any incitement to conflict.
  • Not harming the reputation of the institution or its members.
  • Maintaining proper academic conduct and respect for all staff and students.
  • Demonstrating disciplined behavior that reflects positively on future opportunities.
  • Maintaining order and avoiding disruption within the campus.
  • Preserving university property and facilities.
  • Not disrupting the academic process.
  • Adhering to the official student uniform.
  • Avoiding promotion of division or discrimination.
  • Not engaging in political or sectarian activities on campus.
  • Not inviting political or religious figures for promotional activities.

Article 2

The Student Shall Be Warned If:

  • Failure to adhere to the prescribed uniform.
  • Disrespecting fellow students.

Article 3

  • Repeating a violation after receiving a warning.
  • Disrupting order within the institution.

Article 4

30-Day Suspension If:

  • Repeating violations after warning.
  • Insulting staff members.
  • Defaming faculty members.
  • Posting inappropriate materials.

Article 5

Temporary Suspension (Up to 1 Year):

  • Repeating Article 4 violations.
  • Engaging in political or sectarian activities.
  • Physical assault.
  • Violence against students.
  • Threats or armed behavior.
  • Carrying weapons.
  • Damaging university property.
  • Insulting national unity or beliefs.
  • Insulting faculty.
  • Damaging university reputation.
  • Disrupting studies.
  • Fraud or deception.

Article 6

Final Expulsion If:

  • Repeating Article 5 violations.
  • Assaulting faculty members.
  • Immoral conduct.
  • Forgery.
  • Disturbing campus security.
  • Criminal conviction affecting honor.

Article 7

  • Disciplinary penalties do not prevent legal penalties.
  • Disciplinary actions may be delayed until legal cases are resolved.

Article 8

The Dean shall form a Student Discipline Committee headed by the Vice Dean, including faculty members, a legal expert, and a student representative.

Article 9

No disciplinary action shall be imposed without committee recommendation.

Article 10

Penalties are issued by the College or Institute Council.

Article 11

  • Warnings are final decisions.
  • Students may appeal short-term suspension.

Article 12

Students may appeal within 7 days or 15 days from announcement.

Article 13

Decisions are posted for 15 days and guardians are notified.

Article 14

Previous regulations No. 19 of 1989 are repealed.

Article 15

These regulations take effect upon official publication.
