– Computerization of data related to the Examination Committee and its follow-up.
– Membership in the Central Examination Committee.
– Development of systems and software to automate administrative work, such as the payroll program, student affairs systems, library systems, and others.
– Organizing development courses for the institute’s staff as well as other members of the Technical Education Authority and government departments in the province.
– Training the staff of the Computing Center by nominating them for courses both inside and outside Iraq.
– Supervising the department’s tasks related to computer affairs and ensuring the smooth functioning of operations to fulfill the unit’s objectives.
– Providing feedback on contracts signed by the institute related to computers.
– Signing official correspondence with the computing units in the institutes and other entities on matters related to its unit.
– Supervising courses organized by the unit for internal and external entities.
Other tasks and duties performed by the Computer Center Department:
– Performing maintenance work for computers and their peripherals across all university departments.
– Supervising the internet system and ensuring that the service is accessible to all university departments.
– Monitoring developments in the field of information technology and working to transfer and implement them in the university’s colleges, institutes, and departments.
– Organizing general and specialized development courses in the field of computing and informatics for all university staff, including faculty members, administrators, and technicians, in accordance with an annual training program.
– Providing technical support to university departments in the areas of disk copying and laser printing using specialized printers for this purpose.
– Monitoring the monthly subscription for internet service from the provider of that service.
– Participating in the computer and peripheral maintenance committee, as well as the precision equipment committee at the university.
– Participating in the procurement committee for computers, peripherals, and precision equipment at the university.
