About the Unit

The Women’s Affairs Unit aims to support and empower women in educational institutions by enhancing their scientific, social, and cultural roles. It works to develop women’s capabilities and provide opportunities for them to actively participate in academic and research activities, contributing to sustainable development and community service.

Vision

Empowering women to become active partners in achieving sustainable development and strengthening their role in political, economic, social, and cultural fields while ensuring equal opportunities and gender justice, contributing to balance and well-being within society.

Mission

Meeting women’s needs and developing their knowledge and skills to become active contributors to building society through scientific, intellectual, and cultural empowerment, and by providing opportunities for effective participation that positively impacts families and society.

Goals

  • Develop women’s scientific capabilities in higher education.
  • Support women’s participation in local and international conferences.
  • Enhance women’s participation in decision-making processes.
  • Promote equality and eliminate discrimination between men and women.
  • Highlight women’s competencies and achievements.

Tasks

  • Organizing seminars and workshops related to women’s issues.
  • Promoting community awareness about the role of women in development.
  • Following up on the implementation of women’s empowerment programs and plans.
  • Coordinating with departments and units to implement joint activities.
  • Preparing reports on the unit’s activities.
