The Higher Education Fund Unit is an administrative and financial unit within Iraqi universities, colleges, and institutes. It has a legal personality and enjoys administrative and financial independence. The unit aims to support educational, research, and administrative activities by providing the necessary financial resources to enhance academic and institutional performance.

Helping address operational budget shortages by covering essential and emergency expenditures when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing and organizing the fund’s accounts, including receiving revenues and disbursing expenditures according to applicable regulations and laws.
Collecting financial resources from various sources such as evening study fees, grants, donations, and other revenues.
Organizing financial disbursements through the Fund Management Council in accordance with financial control regulations.
Preparing monthly budgets and periodic financial reports and submitting them to the relevant authorities.
