The Scientific Affairs Unit is affiliated with the Office of the Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs and operates as an independent unit approved by the University of Baghdad. The unit focuses on preserving the college’s scientific output, including research papers, patents, books, and monitoring various scientific activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. The unit collaborates with other departments to achieve the college’s mission through constructive scientific cooperation.🎯 Mission
To achieve the highest level of excellence in performing the tasks of the college’s branches, enhancing the scientific level, and overseeing all activities related to workshops, conferences, seminars, and discussion sessions according to the instructions and regulations approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.✔ Goals
- Strengthen scientific research and encourage faculty and researchers to enhance research quality within the college.
- Monitor outstanding intellectual output, including publications, patents, and other distinguished achievements.
- Support and elevate the scientific level across all college branches and departments.
📝 Tasks
- Organize scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops in coordination with the University of Baghdad, providing relevant details and schedules.
- Monitor faculty research plan registrations through the electronic platform and ensure proper approvals.
- Document published research of our faculty in global databases such as Scopus and Clarivate.
- Facilitate procedures for faculty seeking study leave for Master’s, PhD, or Board programs.
- Organize scientific or teaching sabbatical procedures and submit them officially to the university.
- Support faculty seeking academic promotion by endorsing their research included in the scientific plan.
