The Construction and Projects Unit in the college is a vital technical and administrative unit, usually affiliated with the Office of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs. It is responsible for following up and implementing all infrastructure-related matters of the college, including construction projects, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
Planning and Studies
The unit prepares comprehensive proposals and studies (economic and technical) for new projects and necessary maintenance and rehabilitation of college facilities, in coordination with the University Headquarters’ Construction and Projects Department.
Supervision and Execution
The unit directly supervises construction and development projects, monitors periodic and emergency maintenance works, ensuring compliance with approved technical and engineering specifications.
Planning and Design
Contributes to planning and designing new buildings and renovating existing facilities to meet the educational, research, and administrative needs of the college.
Contract and Document Management
Includes reviewing and receiving plans and quantity tables, delivering them to implementing parties, and archiving all project plans and files.
Enhancing the Campus Environment
Plays a key role in improving the campus environment and providing the necessary infrastructure to support education and research, ensuring the sustainability and suitability of buildings.
Providing Consultations
Provides engineering and technical consultations to departments, scientific branches, and laboratories within the college.
The unit aims to implement projects as quickly as possible with the best technical specifications to serve the academic community and enhance the college’s infrastructure level.
