The Dean of the Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute visits the District Administration of Al-Shamiya.

Professor Dr. Zaid Maan Hassan Al-Dulaimi, Dean of Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute, accompanied by a delegation from the institute, paid an official visit to the District Administration of Al-Shamiya. They were received by Dr. Hassan Abdulhadi Ajeel, the District Commissioner. The visit aimed to complete the formal procedures for the allocation of a plot of land designated for the establishment of a Medical Technical College in the district, scheduled to be inaugurated in the coming year.

In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that securing approval for the transfer of land ownership to build a Medical Technical College in Al-Shamiya represents a significant step toward enhancing the landscape of medical and health education in Iraq. He noted that this project aligns with the university’s strategic plan to expand technical education specializations and to meet the demands of the labor market.

He added that the proposed college will offer advanced academic programs in the medical field and will contribute to supplying the community with highly qualified medical professionals capable of responding to technological developments in the healthcare sector.

For his part, the District Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the visit, highlighting its importance in strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the educational institution and the local government. He also affirmed his full support for providing assistance as part of the reconstruction and development initiatives aimed at serving the people of Al-Diwaniyah Governorate.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Abdulhadi Ajeel and conveyed the greetings of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. He also acknowledged the local government’s cooperation and swift response in granting the necessary legal approvals for the land allocation.
