The Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Complex – Diwaniyah Branch, in cooperation with the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, held a dialogue and awareness seminar entitled ‘The 2025 Parliamentary Elections.’ The seminar aimed to enhance electoral awareness and promote a culture of informed participation in the democratic process. The speakers included Mr. Emad Al-Mousawi, Director of the Ahl al-Bayt Complex, Mr. Muhannad Al-Mousawi, and Sheikh Hafiz Al-Aboudi.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Baheya, along with several department heads, faculty members, and a gathering of students.
The seminar addressed several key topics, most notably the importance of participating in elections, the role of youth and students in shaping the country’s future, and raising awareness about the proper criteria for selecting candidates and exercising constitutional rights responsibly and consciously.
The speakers also discussed the impact of popular participation on enhancing political stability and community development, emphasizing the importance of voter awareness in building a state of institutions and consolidating the democratic experience in Iraq.
At the conclusion of the seminar, a discussion and Q&A session was held, during which attendees posed questions and comments highlighting the need to strengthen electoral awareness among students and youth.
