The Department of Nursing Technologies at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College organized an educational visit to the Fatima Al-Zahraa (Peace Be Upon Her) Dialysis Center at Al-Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Nawras Adnan Abd Al-Amir, Dr. Baraa Jalil Saeed, Dr. Esraa Nadhim Abd Al-Sattar, Assistant Lecturer Wiam Abbas Hamad, and Mr. Masar Yousif Khalaf.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the center’s operations, understand the main causes of kidney failure, learn about the functioning of dialysis machines for patients, and review the medical equipment available at the center and their usage.
The visit included a guided tour within the center’s facilities, where the medical and nursing staff provided detailed explanations of the dialysis process, patient care procedures, and the protocols followed before, during, and after dialysis sessions. This helped link practical experience with theoretical knowledge.
