The General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein / Department of Religious Affairs – Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Al-Diwaniyah, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College and the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, organized an intellectual seminar titled “Organized Crime and Its Deterrence – A Study of the Role of Religion and Law.”
The seminar was presented by Sheikh Ali Al-Jasimi and Lieutenant Hussein Nizam, covering topics including the concept of organized crime, methods of prevention, the role of religion and law in curbing its spread, and raising community awareness of its risks to individuals and society.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiyya, the Dean’s assistants, several heads of academic departments, staff members, and students.
The event included valuable interventions and discussions from the attendees, which enriched the seminar’s topics, promoted security and intellectual awareness among students, and emphasized the importance of cooperation between religious, educational, and security institutions in addressing negative social phenomena.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers and participants in recognition of their efforts and effective contributions to the success of the event.
