In implementation of the directives of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the direct supervision of His Excellency, Dr. Hassan Latif Kazem Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and in order to activate the provisions of the memoranda of understanding signed with reputable universities, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, represented by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University Presidency, organized an academic scientific visit for the librarians of all the university’s formations to several Iranian universities.
The visit included Tehran University, Amirkabir University of Technology, Nasir al-Din al-Tusi University, University of Science and Technology, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, with the aim of observing the infrastructure and organizational programs adopted in the management of central libraries.
The delegation from Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University participated in academic information exchange activities held in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as part of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation and sharing experiences between universities.
The delegation included representatives from the university’s various formations, including the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyyah, which was represented by Engineer Kamel Youssef Hussein. He participated in scientific activities that addressed mechanisms for academic information exchange, the development of educational programs, and the enhancement of joint research partnerships.
The aim of this participation, in order to develop the skills of the participants, was to observe the advanced infrastructure in Iranian universities, benefit from the software adopted in the management of Iranian central library systems, and exchange experiences in the fields of information organization and digital transformation.
This participation is part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s efforts to expand its scientific relations with regional and international universities, in line with its strategic plans to support academic openness, experience exchange, and the improvement of institutional work.
