Under the patronage of the Dean of the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiya, the Media and Government Communication Division at the college, in collaboration with the Sons of the Engineer Association, organized a memorial festival on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of the Victory Leaders, held on Sunday, 4/1/2026. The event was attended by the Dean, the Assistant Deans, Heads of Scientific Departments, faculty members, and students.

The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs. The Dean, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiya, delivered a speech recalling the heroic stances and great sacrifices of the martyrs in defending the homeland, emphasizing the importance of instilling the national and humanitarian values they embodied in students to build a conscious and responsible future.

The event included the screening of documentary video clips portraying the martyrs’ jihadist lives, their struggle, and the sacrifices they made, which had a significant impact on achieving victory and preserving Iraq’s dignity. Photos of the martyrs were also distributed to attendees as a tribute to their sacrifices and to commemorate their heroic deeds.

The festival featured a speech by one of the college’s graduates, expressing pride in and admiration for the martyrs’ sacrifices, noting that their pure blood would remain a guiding light for future generations and a motivation to continue the pursuit of knowledge, work, and service to the nation.

At the conclusion of the festival, the College Dean emphasized the administration’s commitment to commemorating such national occasions for their role in fostering a sense of belonging and national awareness among students and in reinforcing the values of sacrifice and dedication in serving Iraq.
