The Media and Government Communication Division at the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah took part in the closing ceremony of the specialized course entitled “Visual Identity and Institutional Media Discourse in Academic Institutions,” organized by the Media and Government Communication Department at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center. The course lasted for three days and was attended by media division officers from the university’s various formations.

The College was represented in the course by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Thabet Faisal, Head of the Media and Government Communication Division, and Engineer Haider Aziz Obeid. The course addressed key themes including the development of visual identity, formulation of university media discourse, media content management, and practical applications in preparing news templates and media reports. It also included hands-on training on the fundamentals of media photography and the production of professional university imagery.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsen Al-Mujtomi; the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Professor Dr. Mahdi Hatef; and the Director of the President’s Office, Assistant Professor Muin Mohsen Al-Rubaiee. The course concluded with a lecture delivered by the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, Ms. Nihal Kadhim Al-Rubaiee, who reviewed academic news templates and the mechanisms for evaluating the annual media performance of media divisions across the university formations for the academic year 2024–2025.

At the conclusion of the course, certificates of participation were distributed to the attendees, reaffirming the importance of enhancing the skills of media personnel and advancing institutional performance in line with the requirements of modern university media.
