The Department of Radiology and Sonar Technologies at the Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a planned training course entitled “Human Rights in the Field of Health.” The course was delivered by Aswaq Abdul-Sada Kadhim, Assistant Lecturer Suhad Abdul-Hussein Salman, and Assistant Lecturer Enas Hamza Salman, in the presence of students from the department.

The course addressed several important topics, including the foundational concepts and the definition of the right to health, the difference between health and healthcare, and the principles of respect, protection, and fulfillment. It also highlighted the role of the government in regulating and overseeing the private sector in the healthcare field.

In addition, the course discussed medical responsibility, professional ethics, and contemporary challenges, as well as the concept of health equity, particularly with regard to women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, emphasizing the principle of non-discrimination in the provision of healthcare services.
