The Deanship of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College has announced that it will not hold official reception ceremonies for Eid Al-Fitr greeters, citing the current exceptional circumstances affecting the country and the region.

The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahya, explained that this decision stems from a sense of national responsibility and consideration for difficult humanitarian conditions, prioritizing solidarity and empathy over festive celebrations.

He noted that the current stage requires standing united with the people and acknowledging the magnitude of the challenges facing the nation.

Furthermore, the Deanship stated that this year’s Eid Al-Fitr will be observed through prayer and mutual support rather than formal events or the exchange of congratulations. This gesture is in honor of the sacrifices made by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and the fallen martyrs who demonstrated ultimate bravery and self-sacrifice.

The Dean concluded with a prayer to Almighty God to grant the martyrs his vast mercy, bestow a speedy recovery upon the wounded, and protect Iraq and its people, wishing for the return of this occasion with security and stability for all.
