The Department of Business Administration Techniques at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College—a constituent of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University—organized a scientific field visit to the Diwaniyah Textile Factory. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Wasan Kamil Aflook, Assistant Lecturer Sanaa Saad Kadhim, Ms. Hayam Saleh Mohammed, and Ms. Saba Mash’al.

Objectives of the Visit

The visit aimed to:

• Familiarize students with the industrial work environment and the mechanisms of production operations management in one of the region’s most prominent local factories.

• Strengthen the practical application of the theoretical knowledge students receive during their academic lectures.

Field Observations

During their tour of the facility, the students were introduced to:

• Manufacturing Stages: Detailed insights into fabric production processes and assembly lines.

• Quality Control: The systems implemented to ensure product standards.

• Planning and Administration: Management mechanisms that contribute to operational efficiency and the enhancement of national products.

The students also received comprehensive briefings from the factory’s technical staff regarding modern technologies used in the textile industry, as well as current marketing and distribution strategies.

Bridging the Gap with the Labor Market

This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing commitment to connecting students with the labor market, developing their practical skills, and empowering them with the field-based knowledge essential to their specialization.
