Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory
About the Laboratory
The Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory is a fundamental educational facility within the college’s medical departments. It aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students train using skeletal models and organ replicas, in addition to utilizing microscopes to understand human body structures and organ functions.
The lab is also equipped with biometric devices, such as blood pressure monitors and ECG machines, which help enhance the clinical skills of the students.
Importance and Objectives
- Understanding Structure and Function: Studying the composition of various body systems, including the skeletal, digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems.
- Practical Training: Training students to examine tendons, muscles, and tissues using anatomical models.
- Clinical Skills: Learning how to measure vital signs, such as blood pressure, and understanding electrocardiograms (ECG).
- Microscopic Anatomy: Examining tissue slides using optical microscopes.
- Developing Diagnostic Skills: Preparing students for careers in laboratories and healthcare institutions.
