The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, a constituent of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), in collaboration with the Department of Accounting, organized a scientific seminar titled “Modern Financing Mechanisms for Women’s Projects.” The event was held in alignment with the executive plan of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women (Paragraph 1 / Pillar 2), with the attendance of faculty members, staff, and students.

Empowering Women Economically

The seminar featured lectures by Dr. Mayada Hassan, Lecturer Samaher Sadiq, and Assistant Lecturer Bushra Kadhim. The speakers highlighted the critical shift from traditional methods to modern financing tools that keep pace with economic and technological advancements, aimed at supporting and empowering women economically.

• Modern Funding Sources: An introduction to crowdfunding, digital platforms, and microloans.

• Practical Application: Procedures for accessing grants by developing structured business plans and comprehensive financial profiles.

• Digital Transformation: Emphasizing the role of digital payment systems and online marketing in streamlining project management and financing.

The seminar concluded by stressing the importance of financial sustainability through sound planning and the diversification of income sources. It also underlined the essential role of institutions and training programs in supporting women, enhancing their active participation in the labor market, and fostering overall community development.
