The Department of Accounting Techniques at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, a division of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the French College and the European Nile University, organized an online training course titled “The Role of Financial Management and Control in Political Decision-Making from a Historical Perspective.” The course was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Farqad Faisal Jadaan, Head of the Accounting Techniques Department, Assistant Lecturer Bushra Kadhim Abdul-Hussein, Professor Dr. Nirvana Hussein Al-Sabri from the European Nile University, and Nada Mahdi Abdul-Redha Al-Abadi from the French College.
The course aimed to:
🔹️ Understand the relationship between financial management and political decision-making throughout history.
🔹️ Analyze the role of financial control in curbing corruption and strengthening political legitimacy.
🔹️ Comprehend the evolution of financial and auditing tools from ancient civilizations to the modern state.
🔹️ Link historical experiences to contemporary reality in the fields of governance and transparency.
The course witnessed active engagement from the participants and concluded with an examination to assess the extent of benefit gained from its scientific and training topics.
