Pursuant to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiya<\/strong>, the University Psychological Counseling Unit\u2014represented by Assistant Lecturer Areej Fadhil Kshash<\/strong>\u2014in cooperation with the academic departments and in coordination with the Family Counseling Center of the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine and the Community Police Department, organized the activities of University Psychological Counseling Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by the Iraqi national anthem. The Dean of the College then delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of psychological counseling in supporting students and promoting mental well-being, highlighting its role in building a balanced university personality capable of facing academic and societal challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program included an awareness seminar on addiction and methods of treatment, delivered by Dr. Alaa Taha Yassin<\/strong> from the Family Counseling Center affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine. The seminar addressed the causes of addiction and its psychological and social effects, while highlighting methods of prevention and treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, an awareness seminar on electronic blackmail was presented by Legal Lieutenant Colonel Abbas Bardan Al-Barqawi<\/strong> from the Minister\u2019s Office \/ Department of Relations and Media \/ Community Police Division. The lecture reviewed the risks of electronic blackmail, ways to prevent it, and the legal procedures followed to protect students and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The week\u2019s activities also featured a theatrical performance presented by the college\u2019s students, addressing a range of psychological and social issues in a purposeful manner that reflected students\u2019 awareness of the importance of mental health. Furthermore, an exhibition of artistic paintings and posters was held, focusing on concepts of psychological counseling and mental support, through which students conveyed awareness messages in creative ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the event, the Dean of the College presented certificates of distinction to the participants in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to the success of University Psychological Counseling Week, reaffirming the college\u2019s commitment to continuing the organization of meaningful awareness activities that contribute to enhancing students\u2019 psychological and social awareness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
