The Dean of the Polytechnic College \u2013 Al-Qadisiyah, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiya, participated in the meeting of the Council of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which held its fourth session for the academic year 2025\u20132026 at Al-Muthanna Technical Institute, under the chairmanship of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and in the presence of the Council members, with the attendance of the Directors of the Departments of Studies and Planning and the Continuing Education Center at the University Presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the outset of the meeting, the President of the University reviewed the most prominent directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the recent Opinion Board meeting, which emphasized completing student registration according to the specified timelines, reopening admission to evening studies for the academic year 2025\u20132026 at 100% of the approved admission plan for third-round graduates of preparatory school students, filling vacant seats, and adopting the updated guide for teaching methods courses toward blended learning, with the duration of the courses reduced to six intensive weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed the importance of enhancing international quality standards, raising scientific research indicators, supporting faculty members and researchers, encouraging publication in reputable international databases, and strengthening institutional integration between universities and the private sector to ensure alignment of outputs with development requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the President of the University directed the necessity of monitoring first-semester examinations and providing an appropriate environment for students, promoting qualitative initiatives that contribute to enhancing academic reputation, continuous follow-up of scientific research activity, and ensuring the readiness of classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and training requirements, while preserving the identity of technical education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further emphasized the importance of activating university activities and events, supervising graduation ceremonies within the university premises in accordance with ministerial instructions, and giving attention to the services provided to students in university housing and meeting their needs within the available resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
