The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Polytechnic College \u2013 Al-Qadisiyah, as part of the implementation plan for the National Strategy for Iraqi Women \/ Third Pillar (Clause Two), organized a seminar titled (Disciplinary Laws and Their Impact on Women’s Empowerment in Employment and Academia), in collaboration with the Department of Forensic Evidence. The seminar was presented by Dr. Ali Majid Khalil and Assistant Lecturer Taif Nazim Fares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seminar included a discussion on the role of disciplinary laws as a regulatory framework that ensures justice and equality within educational and professional institutions. These laws do not solely focus on penalties but also contribute to creating a safe environment that protects women’s rights and provides them with equal opportunities for work and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seminar also highlighted that the proper application of these laws enhances women\u2019s self-confidence and supports their empowerment in the workplace by ensuring opportunities for promotion, training, and protection from discrimination, as well as creating a fair academic environment free from bullying and harassment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seminar emphasized that, despite the importance of these laws, challenges remain in their implementation due to certain social practices. This calls for increased efforts in awareness-raising and the activation of protection mechanisms to ensure that disciplinary laws effectively contribute to enhancing the status and empowerment of women within institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
