{"id":44735,"date":"2026-03-10T07:18:40","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T07:18:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idi.atu.edu.iq\/?p=44735"},"modified":"2026-03-13T14:47:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T14:47:04","slug":"a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/idi.atu.edu.iq\/?p=44735&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Organizes a Training Course on Women and Digital Shopping"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br><em>College Media Division<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Diwaniyah Polytechnic College, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Information Technology Division, organized a training course entitled <strong>\u201cWomen and Digital Shopping: From Browser to Smart Buyer.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course was held within the framework of implementing the <strong>National Strategic Plan to Combat Violence Against Women<\/strong>, under the <strong>Protection and Prevention Pillar \/ Paragraph Two<\/strong>. The course was delivered by:<br><strong>Asst. Lect. Saadiya Kamil<\/strong>, <strong>Asst. Lect. Nada Jabbar<\/strong>, and <strong>Asst. Lect. Iqbal Kamil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course aimed to introduce participants to the concept of <strong>e-commerce<\/strong> and its importance in daily life, highlighting how it has become an essential part of modern consumption patterns. It also focused on developing participants\u2019 skills in searching for products online and comparing prices and specifications across different stores, helping them make well-informed purchasing decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course also addressed mechanisms for selecting <strong>reliable online stores<\/strong> and verifying their credibility by reviewing user ratings and feedback from previous buyers. In addition, participants were introduced to <strong>secure electronic payment methods<\/strong> and ways to protect personal and financial data during online shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the lectures raised awareness about <strong>consumer rights in online shopping<\/strong>, such as return, exchange, and warranty policies. The sessions also highlighted effective <strong>budget management strategies during digital shopping<\/strong> and methods to avoid impulsive purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the conclusion of the course, the most common <strong>risks associated with online shopping<\/strong>, such as electronic fraud, were discussed along with preventive measures.
