The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, an institution of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a scientific workshop titled “Climate Change and Its Impacts.. How Women Lead the Path to Solutions.” The event was held in cooperation with the Department of Nursing Techniques, under the executive plan of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women (Axis 5 \/ Paragraph 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop featured lectures by Dr. Asaad Thamer and Mr. Ahmed Jassim. They addressed the growing impacts of climate change on societies, highlighting the vital role women play in confronting environmental challenges and contributing to sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussions covered the effects of climate change on daily life, public health, the economy, and food security. The sessions also emphasized the importance of spreading environmental awareness and promoting natural resource conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop concluded that women hold a pivotal role in leading community and environmental initiatives. Their active participation in awareness, decision-making, and supporting eco-friendly projects significantly contributes to building a more sustainable and climate-resilient society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
