Under the patronage of the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiah, and in cooperation with the Imam Al-Hassan (Peace Be Upon Him) Center of the Holy Hussaini Shrine, the college held a ceremony to raise the Hussaini flag. This event commemorates the painful anniversary of Ashura and welcomes the holy month of Muharram, with the attendance of faculty members, staff, and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by reciting Surah Al-Fatiha to honor the souls of the martyrs and remember their sacrifices in defending the homeland and the holy sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech during the event, the Dean of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, Professor Dr. Zaki Muhammad Abbas Bahiah, emphasized that commemorating Ashura represents an important station to remember the great principles embodied by Imam Hussain (PBUH) for the triumph of truth and confronting injustice. He explained that this eternal occasion carries deep humanitarian and educational lessons that contribute to building an individual’s character and enhancing the spirit of responsibility and belonging to society and the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that educational institutions bear a great responsibility in consolidating the moral and humanitarian values derived from the Hussaini approach. This is achieved by organizing cultural and awareness-raising activities that help develop students’ consciousness and strengthen their connection to their history and religious and national identity. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH) Center in organizing purposeful programs that serve the community and achieve its educational and cultural mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, Dr. Jaafar Mansour Al-Hajjami, Director of the Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH) Center at the Holy Hussaini Shrine, delivered a speech expressing his thanks and appreciation to the deanship of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College for its cooperation and keenness to hold these blessed events. He confirmed that the center continues to implement its educational programs aimed at spreading the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them) and strengthening religious and national values in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his part, His Eminence Sheikh Talib Al-Zaidi, Head of Tabligh (Preaching) at the Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH) Center, delivered a speech addressing the intellectual and educational dimensions of Imam Hussain\u2019s (PBUH) revolution. He emphasized that reviving Hussaini rituals contributes to consolidating moral and humanitarian values, while enhancing the spirit of belonging and awareness among the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event concluded with the raising of the Hussaini flag amidst a spiritual atmosphere that embodied meanings of loyalty and love for Imam Hussain (PBUH).
