In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
On the tenth day of the holy month of Muharram, we stand in deep reverence before the eternal anniversary of Ashura. This is the memory of sacrifice and redemption written by Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him) with his pure blood, in defense of truth, dignity, and humanity.
Imam Hussain (PBUH) wanted to teach generations that principles are non-negotiable and that the word of truth remains eternal, no matter how severe the hardships or how immense the sacrifices. Karbala will always remain a beacon guiding free people, and an eternal school that inspires the meanings of patience, steadfastness, and reform.
Every year, this anniversary is renewed to confirm that the uprising of Imam Hussain (PBUH) was not a passing event. Rather, it is an eternal humanitarian message calling for supporting the oppressed and adhering to lofty values.
Peace be upon Hussain the day he was born, the day he was martyred on the land of Karbala, and the day his memory remains a guiding light for generations and a torch for truth, freedom, and dignity.
On this painful occasion, we commemorate the tragedy of the Master of Martyrs, his family, and his pure companions. We renew our pledge to walk on his blessed path, asking Almighty Allah to make us among those who hold fast to his noble values, and to protect our beloved Iraq and its people.
May Allah magnify our rewards and yours on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him).
