Division Overview:
It is one of the academic departments at the Technical Institute of Al-Diwaniyah, established in the academic year 1989-1990 under the name of the Division of Warehouse Management. It later became the Division of Materials Management Techniques in the academic year 2006-2007. The division aims to prepare qualified technical personnel to engage in activities related to purchasing, production, and storage in various business organizations, in line with the changes occurring in the labor market. The program duration is two years, during which students receive theoretical education, in addition to hands-on training in the field. Upon completion, graduates are awarded a Technical Diploma in Materials Management.
The Vision:
To build an educational system that excels in leadership and innovation, capable of embodying the philosophy of transparency and integrity, free from administrative and financial corruption. This will create an internal environment free of suspicions and align with the objectives of technical education, turning them into tangible results, in line with global developments. The department aims to produce graduates capable of meeting the demands of the labor market using the latest scientific techniques.
The Mission:
To update curricula, develop teaching and training capacities, and empower students to be active participants in various activities that help build their scientific, professional, and national identities. The department aims to establish a strong connection and integration between the institute and the labor market through dedicated efforts to achieve the department’s objectives.
The Objectives:
– To prepare and graduate specialized and qualified personnel to work in materials management and organization in accordance with the needs of public and private sector organizations.
– To update and develop training methods and techniques for preparing students in the department.
– To offer specialized courses for institute staff and government employees to enhance their skills in materials management.
– To support and monitor the scientific research activities of the department’s faculty.
– To sponsor scientific and cultural activities for department students.
– To implement a program of scientific visits and a summer training program for department students.
– To strengthen communication channels between the division and the community, represented by scientific, research, humanitarian institutions, and other organizations.
