Under the Slogan: “My Health, My Strength”
As part of the National Plan: Security and Peace as Pillars of Protection and Prevention, the Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Diwaniyah Technical Institute, affiliated with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized an awareness campaign on women’s health in collaboration with the Red Crescent Society in Al-Diwaniyah.
The campaign targeted female students and staff members and aimed to promote awareness on various aspects of women’s health. Key focus areas included:
Encouraging women to follow a balanced diet, particularly during pregnancy and lactation.
Raising awareness about common nutritional deficiencies, such as iron, calcium, and vitamin D.
Promoting physical activity and emphasizing the importance of regular exercise in preventing chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.
Addressing mental health, including recognizing symptoms of depression and anxiety, especially postpartum, and encouraging women to talk about their feelings and seek help when needed.
Highlighting the importance of disease prevention, including the role of vaccinations and regular medical check-ups for early detection of cancers such as breast and cervical cancer.
This campaign is part of the institute’s broader commitment to supporting women’s health, empowering female students and staff, and fostering a culture of health awareness within the academic community.
